The first contains a paper read by Simpson to the Chester Debating Society in Oct 1923 on 'The Chester City Cross'; it also contains a report of the paper from the Chester Observer. The second contains two papers read by Simpson to an unidentified society, the first probably in Nov 1925, on a book 'Streets and Lanes of a City ' published in 1870 by a Frances Wilbraham under the nom-de-plume of Amy Dutton; and the second on the subject of the proposed new road at the Newgate. |
